Pastor Robinson

Pastor Robinson is the youngest of eight children born to Gold Juleda Robinson in Gould, Arkansas. He was raised in Sacramento, California where he graduated from Sacramento Senior High School, earned an A.A. degree from Sacramento City College and a B.A. degree in History from California State University at Sacramento. He has taken graduate courses in counseling from Chapman College, Seminary courses at the Mennonite Brethren Biblical Seminary in Fresno, California and Fuller Seminary in Sacramento, California.

Pastor Robinson is a strong proponent of academic and vocational achievement honed by the fathers and mothers of the Pentecostal Assemblies of the World. Yet, he is modern enough in methodology to reach the man or woman of this generation. The gospel doesn’t change but how it’s delivered has.

Pastor Robinson is happily married to Tonya Louise Robinson, formerly of Springfield, Ohio. Proud parents of thirteen children, ten of which Pastor Robinson had by a previous marriage. All of their children are grown now with his two youngest daughters pursing college degrees in California.

Prior to entering the Pastorate on October 9, 1997, Pastor Robinson worked a combined twenty- seven years in Juvenile Probation for the State of California. In 1999, at the time he retired, Pastor Robinson was supervising two separate adult parole offices in Central California. He believes his years in Probation/Parole helped him in his transition to the Christian Pastorate.

Pastor Robinson was baptized and filled with the Holy Ghost at Christ Temple Apostolic Church Sacramento, California under the Pastorate of the late District Elder Robert B. Holman, Sr. in 1965. Under his leadership, Pastor Robinson sang in the church choir, drove the church bus, taught the young adult Sunday school class, served as president of the Youth Department, was a member of the Brotherhood, and later served as Chairman. He taught Old & New Testament History at Christ Temple Bible Institute, was a member of the financial board, a minister on staff, and finally served as the first Assistant Pastor under Dist. Eld. Robert B. Holman, Sr.

Pastor Robinson and family moved to Fresno, California in 1990 because of his job promotion where he served briefly under Suffragan Bishop Marion Sanders and then later under Bishop Henry L. Johnson who gave him his current assignment as Pastor of Grace Worship Center.

Pastor Robinson and saints are building a multicultural church that reflects the diversity of the world, based on Matthew 28:18-20.
